Additional Ticket Options

Re-Entry and What It Means for Your Budget

GA tickets do not allow re-entry. Once you leave the festival grounds you cannot return that day. VIP, Deluxe, and Deluxe+ wristbands permit re-entry. If you are planning to leave the grounds for a meal and come back, a GA ticket will not allow that. Factor this into your ticket tier decision. Source: riotfest.org.

Transportation

Midway International Airport is approximately 7 to 9 miles from Douglass Park and 15 to 25 minutes by car. O'Hare is approximately 17 to 19 miles and 25 to 35 minutes. Drive times sourced from Google Maps.

The CTA Pink Line is the most cost effective way to get to and from the festival each day. CTA fare is approximately $2.50 per ride. From Midway take the Orange Line into the Loop and transfer to the Pink Line. From O'Hare take the Blue Line into the Loop and transfer to the Pink Line. Total transit cost from either airport is approximately $5 round trip per day, significantly less than rideshare. For complete transportation details see the Riot Fest 2026 transportation guide.

Hotels

Riot Fest has no on site camping and no official hotel partner program. You stay in Chicago and commute to Douglass Park each day. The Loop, West Loop, and Pilsen neighborhoods are the most practical for Pink Line access to the festival. Hotel prices during Riot Fest weekend vary significantly depending on how early you book. Book as soon as you have your tickets. For hotel area recommendations see the hotels near Douglass Park guide.

Food Inside the Festival

Outside food and beverages are not allowed inside Riot Fest unless medically necessary. Food vendors operate inside the grounds. Specific vendor prices are not published in advance. Budget generously for food if you plan to eat inside across multiple days, especially if you have GA tickets and cannot leave and re-enter. Source: riotfest.org.

Eat before you go if you have GA tickets. GA holders cannot re-enter once they leave. A solid meal before arriving reduces how much you spend on festival food and means you are not eating on an empty stomach during the late sets.
