Recommended Stay Zones
Three primary hotel areas serve Nocturnal Wonderland attendees. The best zone for you depends on whether you want to use the official Insomniac shuttle or drive yourself each day.
Ontario, CA
Ontario is a popular choice for non-camping attendees. Insomniac runs an official hotel shuttle from the Best Western Ontario Airport area to the festival and back each night. Ontario International Airport (ONT) is here, making it convenient for travelers flying in. The area has a strong selection of hotels at multiple price points and is approximately 16 to 17 miles from Glen Helen Regional Park via I-15 North. Drive time is roughly 25 to 30 minutes in normal traffic. Source for shuttle: nocturnalwonderland.com.
Search hotels in Ontario, CA →Riverside, CA
Riverside is the other official Insomniac hotel shuttle stop, picking up near the Riverside Convention Center at 5th and Orange. Riverside has a downtown area with restaurants and nightlife if you want something to do before or after the festival. It sits approximately 20 to 25 miles from Glen Helen Regional Park and is a reasonable drive if you prefer to drive rather than shuttle. Source for shuttle: nocturnalwonderland.com.
Search hotels in Riverside, CA →San Bernardino, CA
San Bernardino is the closest major city to Glen Helen Regional Park, approximately 15 miles away via I-215 North, a 20 to 25 minute drive. San Bernardino International Airport (SBD) is here for those flying in on airlines that serve it. No official Insomniac hotel shuttle runs from San Bernardino, so if you stay here you will be driving or arranging your own transportation each day. Drive time is Google Maps verified.

Insomniac maintains a dedicated hotels page for Nocturnal Wonderland with curated partner hotels at negotiated rates. These are partner hotels in areas aligned with the official shuttle stops. The Shuttle vs. Driving Decision
If you stay in Ontario or Riverside and take the official Insomniac hotel shuttle, you eliminate parking costs and the stress of driving after a late night. Shuttles depart the venue approximately 30 minutes after music ends each night, which means you are heading back around 12:30 AM. This is a practical option for non-camping attendees who want to avoid driving and parking.
If you prefer to drive yourself, staying in San Bernardino puts you closest to the venue. Expect traffic on I-15 during arrival times on both festival days. Premier Parking is $92.82 and includes a shuttle from the parking lot to the festival entrance.
Do not drive impaired. Nocturnal Wonderland runs until midnight. If you are driving yourself back to your hotel, plan ahead. The official shuttle is the safest and simplest option for those not camping.
LA and Orange County Options
Some attendees choose to stay in Los Angeles or Orange County and use the official Insomniac city shuttles each day. The Downtown LA / USC city shuttle departs from McAlister Field and the OC city shuttle departs from Fullerton Park and Ride, both at approximately 1:00 PM with returns around 12:30 AM. This works well if you have other plans in LA or OC around the festival weekend. The trade-off is a longer shuttle ride each way compared to hotel shuttles from Ontario or Riverside.
