Transportation Guide

How to get to Aftershock 2026 at Discovery Park in Sacramento. Everything you need to know about the Park and Ride Shuttle from Cal Expo, the free bike valet, rideshare pickup zones, and walk-in parking. All confirmed from official sources. There is no general on-site parking at Discovery Park. Most non-ADA attendees arrive by shuttle, bike, rideshare, or on foot from nearby walk-in lots. Plan your transportation before you plan anything else. Source: official Aftershock getting here page.

The Venue

Aftershock 2026 takes place at Discovery Park in Sacramento, California. The park sits where the American River meets the Sacramento River, adjacent to Interstate 5 in downtown Sacramento. The Garden Highway entrance on the north side is the primary gate for most attendees including all Park and Ride shuttle riders. The Jibboom Street entrance on the south side is primarily the rideshare pickup and drop-off zone. Source: official Aftershock getting here page.

Park and Ride Shuttle from Cal Expo

The official and most convenient transportation option is the Park and Ride Shuttle from Cal Expo at 1600 Exposition Blvd in Sacramento. Each shuttle pass includes free parking for your vehicle at Cal Expo and a nonstop shuttle to and from Discovery Park. Source: official Aftershock getting here page.

Shuttle passes are sold separately per person per day. They are not included with any festival pass, camping pass, or any other purchase. Every person in your car who rides the shuttle needs their own pass. Buy them when you buy your festival pass.

Bike Valet

Discovery Park sits along the Jedediah Smith Bike Trail making arrival by bike genuinely practical. Aftershock has partnered with Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates to provide a complimentary bike valet on-site. The valet accepts bikes, skateboards, and scooters and is staffed throughout the entire event. The bike valet opens approximately 90 minutes before gates open each day. If you choose to self-park your bike rather than use the valet it is at your own risk. Source: official Aftershock getting here page.

The bike valet is free and the best option if you are staying nearby. No shuttle pass needed, no wait in a rideshare queue at the end of the night, no parking cost. If your hotel is within a reasonable bike ride of Discovery Park this is worth considering.

Rideshare

Uber and Lyft serve Sacramento. Rideshare pickup and drop-off is available at Aftershock but the pickup zone at the end of the night is specific and easy to miss if you do not know where to go. Source: official Aftershock getting here page.

Jibboom Street Pickup Zone

The main festival rideshare zone is on the south side of Discovery Park at the Jibboom Street exit, not the Garden Highway entrance. To reach it:

Know this route before the headliner ends. Exiting from the wrong side of the park puts you far from your pickup and adds significant time to your exit.

Walk-In Parking

Limited paid parking in designated lots surrounding the park will be available to purchase closer to the event. Key details confirmed from the official Aftershock getting here page:

ADA Parking

Limited ADA parking is available at the event for a daily fee, card only, first-come, first-served. A valid state-issued Disabled Person Parking placard, permit, or license plate plus proof it belongs to you is required for entry. Vehicles in the accessible lot will be held in place until pedestrian traffic has cleared at the end of each night, which can be up to 45 minutes. No exceptions are made. The Park and Ride Shuttle also offers accessible shuttles as an alternative option. Source: official Aftershock getting here page.

Flying In

Sacramento International Airport serves the Sacramento area. Verify current ground transportation options from the terminal including rideshare pickup locations and rental car availability before your trip. Downtown Sacramento hotels are convenient to the festival and put you within range of rideshare or the bike trail each day.
