Aftershock has a unique extra cost most festivals do not. There is no general on-site parking at Discovery Park. Most non-camping attendees will need to budget for a shuttle pass, rideshare, or paid walk-in parking. The exception is the free bike valet through Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates, which costs nothing if you are arriving by bike. Budget for transportation separately from your festival ticket. Transportation
Transportation is a budget line at Aftershock that most other DWP festivals do not have. There is no general on-site parking at Discovery Park. Budget for one of the following options in addition to your festival ticket.
Park and Ride Shuttle from Cal Expo
The official shuttle program from Cal Expo is the primary option for most attendees. Shuttle passes are sold per person per day and are not included with any festival pass. Confirmed from the official Aftershock getting here page.
| Shuttle Pass | Price (all-in) |
|---|---|
| 4-Day Park and Ride Shuttle Pass | $138 |
| Single Day Shuttle Pass (any day) | $48 |
For a group of four people attending all four days, shuttle passes add $552 to the total trip cost on top of festival tickets. Factor this in when comparing Aftershock costs to other festivals with on-site parking.
Rideshare
Uber and Lyft serve Sacramento. Expect surge pricing at the end of each night. The rideshare pickup zone is on the Jibboom Street side of the park near 500 Bercut Drive, not the Garden Highway entrance. Knowing this before the headliner ends saves significant time. Cost varies by distance from your hotel.
Bike Valet
Free. If you are staying nearby and have a bike, the complimentary bike valet run by Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates is the cheapest transportation option available. Accepts bikes, skateboards, and scooters.
Camping at Cal Expo
Camping is at Cal Expo, not at Discovery Park. Camping passes do not include shuttle access to the festival. Each camper needs a separate shuttle pass per person per day in addition to their camping pass and festival ticket. All camping prices confirmed from the official Aftershock camping page as of June 2026.
| Option | Price (all-in) |
|---|---|
| Car and Tent Camping | From $499 |
| General RV (no power) | From $599 |
| General RV (with power) | From $679 |
| Premium RV with Full Hookup (power, water, sewer) | From $719 |
| Overnight Companion Vehicle Parking | From $120 |
Note that the Premium RV with Full Hookup option at Aftershock includes power, water, and sewer. This is more comprehensive than the hookup options at Louder Than Life or Bourbon and Beyond.
Food and Drink Inside the Festival
Aftershock is a Danny Wimmer Presents festival and food and drink pricing follows the same pattern as other DWP events. Based on attendee reports from comparable DWP festivals, expect the following rough ranges. These are estimates based on similar festivals. Actual prices at Aftershock 2026 have not been confirmed and may differ.
| Category | Estimated range (based on comparable DWP festivals) |
|---|---|
| Food entree or single plate | Around $15 to $20, sometimes more |
| Snack items | Often $8 to $12 |
| Beer | Around $10 to $18 depending on size and type |
| Cocktails | Around $15 to $20 |
| Non-alcoholic drinks | Around $5 to $7 |
Eating a solid meal before entering each day is the easiest way to reduce on-site food spend. With no re-entry for standard GA and VIP holders, everything you eat and drink for the day comes from inside the festival.

Other Costs to Plan For
