Louder Than Life 2026

Louder Than Life 2026
Camping Guide

Everything you need to know about camping at Louder Than Life 2026. On-site camping at the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Expo Center opens Wednesday September 16. Options range from Car and Tent camping to RV sites and fully outfitted glamping packages. Camping is sold separately from festival admission and is the only way general ticket holders can re-enter the festival after leaving each day.

Camping is the only path to re-entry for GA ticket holders. General admission attendees without a camping wristband or JamPack Hotel package cannot leave the festival and return. If re-entry matters to you, a camping pass is how you get it. Source: official Louder Than Life FAQ.

What Is Included With Every Camping Pass

All camping passes include the following. Source: official Louder Than Life camping page.

Camping passes do not include festival admission, power or water hookups (unless noted), or parking for more than the single vehicle pass that comes with each site. Festival passes must be purchased separately.

Campground Schedule and Check-In Hours

All times confirmed from the official Louder Than Life camping info page. Hours are subject to change. Always verify at louderthanlifefestival.com/camping-info before your trip. Source: official Louder Than Life camping info page.

Important vehicle rules. Campers have re-entry privileges between the festival and campground during festival hours. However, all vehicles within the campground must stay in place once parked. There are no in/outs for camping vehicles. If you want access to a vehicle over the weekend, the Overnight Camping Vehicle Pass gives you a spot in a separate overnight parking lot accessed on foot from the campground. You will need to exit the campground on foot to reach that lot and will be subject to search upon re-entry. Source: official Louder Than Life camping info page.

Tips for Camping at Louder Than Life

The following section reflects general knowledge and community experience from festival attendees. It is Tier 3 content. Verify any specific claims directly with the festival before your trip.

Mud is real, plan for it

Experienced Louder Than Life attendees consistently warn about mud in the campgrounds. September in Louisville brings real rain and the grounds can get wet fast. Multiple repeat campers say they brought shoes they were willing to throw out and kept a dry backup pair in their tent. Do not bring footwear you care about into the campsite or the festival grounds.

Bring your own toilet paper

Porta-potties at the campgrounds and inside the festival run out of toilet paper, particularly late at night and by the later days of the weekend. Experienced attendees consistently put a small roll of TP and hand sanitizer at the top of their pack list. It's one of the simplest upgrades you can make to your camping setup.

Set up your campsite before you go in for the day

Camping opens Wednesday September 16, a full day before the festival starts. Getting in early and setting up your site properly before Thursday means you are not doing it tired after the first day of shows. It also gives you time to find the camp store, showers, and medical locations before you need them in a hurry.

Use the re-entry privilege strategically

The biggest practical advantage of camping is re-entry. You can leave the festival mid-day to rest, recharge, change clothes, grab something from your campsite, and come back in. Non-camping GA attendees cannot do this. If you're there all four days, being able to reset at your campsite between sets ends up being a big deal.

Lock your valuables

Attendees report theft from bags even while they were being worn inside the festival. The same caution applies to campsites. Keep valuables locked in your vehicle when you are not at your site and do not leave anything important in your tent unattended.
