Austin City Limits 2026
Transportation Guide

How to get to ACL Fest 2026 at Zilker Park. There is no festival parking at Zilker Park, and neighborhood parking in the surrounding area is heavily restricted during ACL, so your transportation plan is one of the most important decisions you make before you arrive. This guide covers the festival shuttle, Cap Metro, rideshare, biking and walking via the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail, and parking options in Austin during ACL weekends. Core transportation details are confirmed from the official ACL getting here page. Some advice reflects attendee community experience and is noted as such.

There is no festival parking at Zilker Park, and neighborhood parking in the surrounding area is heavily restricted during ACL. In practice, almost everyone who attends ends up using rideshare, transit, the festival shuttle, a bike, or walking. Plan this before you book your hotel, because where you stay determines which options make sense. Source: official ACL getting here page.

The Venue

Austin City Limits 2026 takes place at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas. The park sits along Barton Creek where it meets Lady Bird Lake, just south of downtown. There are three entrances: East Barton Springs, West Barton Springs, and the Lady Bird Entrance. As of June 2026, the official ACL FAQ lists gates as open from 12pm to 10pm on all six festival days across both weekends. Hours are subject to change, so verify at aclfestival.com before your trip. Know which entrance is closest to your drop-off before you arrive so you do not end up walking the long way around. Source: official ACL FAQ and getting here page.

Festival Shuttle

ACL runs official festival shuttles; pickup spots and prices are announced closer to the event. Check aclfestival.com for shuttle locations, hours, and pricing as October approaches. Source: official ACL getting here page.

Check back for shuttle details closer to the festival. Shuttle locations and hours are finalized in the weeks leading up to each weekend. If you are planning around the shuttle, bookmark the official getting here page and check it again closer to October.

Cap Metro Public Transit

Cap Metro runs several bus routes near Zilker Park during ACL, with frequent service throughout the festival. The MetroRapid Route 803 is the line ACL specifically recommends. Cap Metro usually costs less than rideshare and works well if you are staying near one of its stops. Check capmetro.org for current routes, schedules, and fares during ACL weekend. Rideshare

Uber and Lyft both serve Austin and rideshare is a common way to get to and from ACL each day. When you are ready to head to the festival, type "Austin City Limits Music Festival" or "Zilker Park" into your app as the destination. This updates your drop-off to the nearest designated zone around the park. Source: official ACL getting here page.

Have an exit plan before the headliner ends. When tens of thousands of people open their rideshare apps at once, surge pricing kicks in and waits get long. Walking a few blocks away from the park before requesting a ride cuts both. Or leave slightly before the final song if you have an early day the next morning. Because ACL allows two re-entries per day, your options are different than at a no-re-entry festival, but your exit plan at the end of the night still matters. Source: ACL attendee community advice.

Walking and Biking

ACL encourages walking and biking as the easiest ways to get to the festival, and they really do work if you are staying in the right neighborhood. The Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail connects much of central Austin to Zilker Park and is a practical route for anyone staying in South Congress, along Lady Bird Lake, or in downtown. It is also one of the easiest ways to leave at the end of the night, since you are not competing for rideshare with tens of thousands of other people. Source: official ACL getting here page.

Scooters are also an option for getting to and from the park. Bikes and scooters are not permitted inside the festival grounds. Bike parking details and locations will be confirmed closer to the festival. Source: official ACL getting here page.

If your hotel is in South Congress or along Lady Bird Lake, biking or walking in is genuinely the best option. You skip the rideshare queue entirely, you can leave on your own schedule, and the trail route along the water is a good way to start and end a long day. It is worth factoring this into your hotel choice when you book.

Driving and Parking

There is no festival parking at Zilker Park, and neighborhood parking in the surrounding area is heavily restricted. ACL notes that parking options in the broader Austin area may become available for purchase closer to the festival dates. Check aclfestival.com for updates as October approaches. If parking does become available it will require a walk or rideshare to reach the park from wherever the lots are. Source: official ACL getting here page.

Flying In

The closest airport is Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). Rideshare from AUS to central Austin or South Congress usually takes about 20 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Rental cars are available at the airport but there is no parking at or near the festival, so a rental only really makes sense if you have somewhere to park it during festival hours or are staying farther out with free parking. ADA Transportation

ACL provides full ADA parking and entry information. See the official ACL accessibility page for current details on accessible parking locations, entry procedures, and onsite accessibility services. Source: official ACL getting here page.
